Lhasa to Tiger Leaping Gorge

Hi,

Has anyone travelled from Lhasa to Tiger Leaping Gorge and can you tell me how you did it? I'm doing as few organised tours as possible (budget) but will arrange a Tibet tour of course. It is possible to make my own way from LHASA to TLG?? Any helpful advice greatly appreciated, on anything to do with these places :o)
Thanks!

From Lhasa, you can find direct flights to reach Shangri-La Airport and then take a taxi to reach Shangri-La local bus station where you can find many buses for Tiger Leaping Gorge Town. From the town, you can take a car or walk to reach the Leaping Gorge to starting your hiking journey.
