Double entry F visa for study in Beijing

Hi I was granted an f visa as I will be studying in Beijing. My letter of acceptance is from
Beijing. I am flying into guangzhou where I will be staying for 3 days before flying to Beijing To begin study. Is this allowed? I was granted a double entry visa. Will I be able to travel to another country and return to china to continue my study? Thanks.
