About:Shuaiyuan Redware Teapots Museum

unmarried couple with children

Hi, I will be employed at an University as a "foreign expert" from september 2013. I will come with my partner and our two kids. My visa will be the normal working visa (Z), but apparently my partner can't have the same, as we are not married. So my questions: could he be recognized as the father of my children and so be officially part of the family? We have a "family book" (Livret de Famille, in France). Would the children have a problem with registration or whatever they need in China? The other solution seems to be a 100 days tourist visa for him, but is it easy to get it extended once inside China?
Thank you very much for answering!

No, to apply dependent visa to China, marriage certificate is required because he will accompany your Z in China. For your children, it is ok for registration if they both have birth certificate as proof. To get a tourist visa is possible for him anyway, and it can be extended within China easily. If possible, you can refer to an agency for help.
