HK ID Card and ID card for China

Hi there, I have a HK ID card and I normally visit on the China ID card that HK residents usually have. Is that enough or do I need the SAR passport as well to visit Tibet? And I assume I do not need to join tours? Thanks.

No. If you hold a Chinese Passport or Hong Kong SAR passports, you do not need the permit. You do not need to join tours.
