About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Can I invalidate a Chinese visa that I got?

I got a Chinese visa in January 2013, but the valid period was not what I supposed to get.
Is it possible to invalidate the Chinese visa once, and re-apply for the same type of Chinese visa to get a long validation period?

Hi, it is ok, you can just submit your application again to the office. Your current visa expired once you get a new one. Here you should note that visa type and duration of stay are all decided by consular officers based on documents you submitted. It is not guaranteed that you will get one with duration longer than this one.
