The best way is to take the direct airport shuttle bus from the airport to Apollo Hotel. The bus fare is CNY20/person.1

Actually, the tour agency is not suggested to use to travel there. I always travel on my own. The bullet train can easily take you from FZ to reach Xiamen and then you can take a ferry to Gulangyu Island. These two places are very beautiful. If you go to Fujian, Xiamen is the best seeing place, I think.

Come out of the airport (miss all the taxi touts) and catch the Blue/White airport express bus. There's many of them, you can't miss them, and all for the fare is 25 RMB. The bus stops at the Apollo hotel.
