I would like to ask about when will you close for Chinese new year and for how long?

Hi, there is no holiday notice released on embassy's official website. You may need to contact the consular office directly for more details. Chinese new year of 2013 falls on Jan. 10, the public holiday starts from Jan. 9 - Jan. 15 in China. This is a reference only, the embassies and consulates overseas may be closed for few days during this period.

I would like to ask you one more question i have booked hotel in shanghai but they send the booking ticket through email, does the embassy accept this kind of hotel booking ticket.

Hi, you'd better contact the embassy consular office for this. But to my understanding, the email booking proof is ok for application.
