About:Chongqing Travel

Kayaking on the Yangtze

Is it possible to kayak on the Yangtze or is it too fast-flowing, or illegal? If you can kayak on it, do you need a licence to do so? Also can you kayak on the Jialing River? Where can I go for more information on kayaking near Chongqing?

It is not allowed to kayak on the Yangtze River.
In Chongqing area, you can go to Beibei, Banan and Yubei areas, where you can find many rivers suitable for kayak.
For kayak on the Jialing River, I suggest you to ask the local police to get a permission.
