visa application to uae

I am visiting UAE from Feb.27 to Mar.4 2013. I have a canadian passport. I am resident in shangai. What sort of visa should I apply for, how and where do I apply, and what is the time frame to get it?

You have to apply for a visit visa. I don't know if the UAE embassy accepts your application. If not, you may go back to your country to get it. It usually takes 5 days to process the application.  You may visit this page for more info:http://www.uae-embassy.ae/Embassies/ca/Content/2117
