About:Chinese Consulate in Sydney

What visa will a permanent resident of Australia holding a PRC passport require for the following?

Flying to Hong Kong (HK) from Sydney, staying for a night before heading to Thailand. Return to HK for a week before heading to China. 4 weeks later, return to HK to fly back to Sydney.

As I know, if you have confirmed ticket and visa to the Thailand and back to Australia, you can stay in HK for 7 days without visa. Jowever, you may need to get a entry permit for HK from Chinese consulate in Sydney. You can tell them your itinerary, as you will enter HK 3 times.
