how much is it from the airport to yabuli ski resorts and are the taxi drivers reliable?

It is a little expensive to take a taxi directly for the journey. I suggest you take the airport shuttle bus to the city center first. The bus fare is CNY20/person. Then catch a bus at the bus station on the opposite of railway station to reach Yabuli Town. Then you can take mini-bus to reach the resort.

Thanks for the reply but it doesn't really answer my question. I would like to get to Yabuli with my 2 young children via the fastest and most convenient mode of transportation - which I'd think is a taxi. I know it would be quite expensive but it would still be cheaper than the USD150/person which the resort I'm staying at would be charging us per person for their shuttle.

So if someone can advise me of the most convenient and fastest way to get to Yabuli without having to wait in the cold to transfer a few times, that would be greatly appreciated. If there is a taxi for hire where I can reserve in advance so I can get in right away, that would be ideal. I know it's around 3 hours away and since my flight gets in late afternoon, I'd like to get to the resort by dinner time.

Acutally seldom taxis want to go to Yabuli, because it is far away from the city center. So people do not want to take coaches will choose rent a car, which costs about 1500 RMB to 2000 RMB.
I heard it from one of my friend that Yabuli can arrange a car pick up you at the airport, but you may need to contact them for the arrangement in advance. I am not clear about the procedures. You may try to contact them.
