Can I bring in pain meds?

Have a perscribtion for acetaminophen with codeine #4 would be a large amount (500) and Gabapentine

According to the regulations, you are allowed to take in pain meds for self-use, showing a valid proof or prescription. Generally, you can take in the maximum amount for seven-day use. Otherwise, you should declare that.
