Hiking to the Leshan Buddha or hiring a boat trip

How long will it take me to hike from the main entrance to the Buddha? If I take the boat, will I be able to get off at the buddha's feet?

From the main entrance to the Buddha, it takes around half and hour on foot.
If you take the boat, you cannot get off at Buddha's feet. But it will stop at the feet, where you can take pictures.
