About:Beijing Travel

Are the Yungang Grottoes open on Saturdays and the Hanging Monastery on Sundays?

I plan to travel from Beijing to Datong on Saturday, April 13 and visit the Grottoes that afternoon. The following morning, Sunday, April 14 visit the Hanging Monastery and travel back to BJ.

Does that seem like a reasonable plan?
What would be the best way to travel to/from BJ to Datong?

Thanks!

Yes, the two scenic spots are open at the weekend. Your plan is doable. Well, since your travel time is limited, you'd better take flight between BJ and Datong.

Thanks for your prompt answer!

How much would it cost for a round trip airfare from Beijing to Datong? (Approximately)
How could I book it online?

Thank you,
Carlos

Hi, the air price varies a lot from time to time and it also depends on your travel season. Generally, around CNY500 is enough for a return journey.
You can search the air schedule, price and even book online in the website:

Hope help!
