Golmud-Lhasa train with children

Hi, I am planning to take the Golmud- Lhasa train with 2 children (4 and 6) in April. Is it safe considering the high altitude of the train?

There is equipments providing oxygen on the train, so it is safe to take them to take the train. But it is hard to say whether they will feel sick or not after you get off the train.
