About:Chinese Consulates in India

1. Query related to visa.

1. i want to visit Guangzhou , for that do i need to apply visa for china?
2. after filling the application form do i need to appear in person to obtail it?
3. my present passport is expiring on 13.07.2013, new passport is about to come to me in 10 days time , can i apply on the basis of my present passport? please clarify .

Yes, visa is required if you visit Guangzhou. You can entrust others if you can not visit in person. You'd better wait and apply with your new passport.

1. i shall be travelling on visitors visa, please tell me what financial proof i ned to show and for how much?

2. is it necessary to show leave certificate / leave approval from my company?

Hi, do you mean business visa to China? if yes, you need to provide an Invitation Letter from China and a Personal Written Statement (Covering Letter, with details as follows: A. Destination; B. name, address and contact number of the inviting(contact company or person).
Finanal proof is not required generally, you can provide return ticket and hotel reservation for application.

No, it is not mandatory.
You can contact the CVASC in your place for more details anyway.
