applying for visa to china in ulan bator

Question

It appears based on the answers you have provided so far that come countries are permitted to apply here while others are not. I am an American citizen who has been traveling through Europe for 6+ months along with a Ukrainian citizen. Neither of us needs a Visa to be here for up to 90 days. Is it going to be possible for both of us to apply in person when we are here?

Hi Dominic, if you are temporarily stay in Mongolia, Invitation letter (from Chinese citizens,  foreigners with residence permit there, travel agents or host company) is needed if you apply from Chinese embassy in Ulan Bator.
