Medical examination for Australian resident?

I am from Melbourne and will be moving to China to work. Do I need to get a medical examination before I apply for the Visa? And if so, is there a certain clinic in Melbourne that performs these medical examinations for it?

Yes, the Physical Examination Record for Foreigner as you can download here https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/pdf/physical.pdf is required for Z visa application. So, you can finish this with any of clinics in your area.

I'm also moving to Beijing for work and need to apply for a Z visa, do you know where I can get the medical check done in Melbourne? I tried the public hospitals as advised by my agent in China but was told they could not provide such a service. Thanks.

Usually, you need to go to those hospitals designated by the CVASC in Melbourne. So you’d better call the CVASC and know about more information. Here is the hot line: +61-3-99372308
