About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travel for long weekend

I am coming to visit Beijing for a long weekend in February. Although I will be there for less than 72 hours, my flight is from Seoul to Peking then back to Seoul. One restriction that has me worried is:

1. This regulation does not apply to passengers who travel on a single return flight (e.g., Hong Kong – Peking - Hong Kong), which means the destination and place of departure can not be the same. They need to apply for a transit visa before their departure.

Does this mean I cannot fly from and back to just Seoul from Peking ? Somebody please clarify. Thanks!

Yes, you can not just do a return trip from Seoul to Peking without a visa. You need to apply a transit visa if you want to go out of the airport.
