About:Chinese Embassy in New Zealand

New Zealand passport holder on a Tier 5 YMS visa living in London.

I am a New Zealand passport holder on a Tier 5 YMS visa living in London. Can I get an L visa in the UK, if I am leaving the UK for China on the last day of validity for my YMS, not to return to the UK but to go onwards to Australia after two weeks? (i.e. I am planning on spending two weeks in China, then going to Australia.) Thank you!

I am afraid not if your YMS visa expires soon. Contact the CVASC in London at 0207 710 6000 for confirmation. Or, you may try to apply one from HK if possible.
