Is it possible to find hotels in China on arrival ?

I am traveling to China at the end of April and I wonder if I can find hotels on arrival in places like Guilin, Huangshan and Hangzhou? I am planning to book hotels in advance for places such as Shanghai and Xian but not sure how it works for smaller cities mentioned above.

Hi, it is ok to find hotels upon arrival, but you may miss some well suitable ones. Thus hotel booking are recommended, even for the smaller cities.
