About:China Visa

My husband ,English passport, and I, Dutch passport, want to visit my niece living in China

We will be flying with BA return ticket in April and plan to stay for 3 weeks approximately. We are both retired and have travel insurance. I can down load the pplication form but have 2 questions:
Do we need a separate application or can it be one joint application for a visa, do we need to come in person to collect it or can they be dispatched by registered mail.
My niece and her husband are also Dutch and her husband is one a three year contract with a Dutch Business and my niece is at home with her 5 children. The 5th one born in China in Shang Hai in November 2012.
Thank you very much for your attention. Best wishes Agatha Girard ( mrs.)

You need separate applications but you can submit them together. If you reside within consular district of Chinese embassy in London, you can refer to http://www.visaforchina.org/LON_EN/ for applucation by post. Personal appearance is not required in general. For this visit, you need an invitation letter from your niece.
