Chinese Visa for UK national

I will travel to Japan as a tourist and then to China as a tourist after. Can I get a tourist visa for China in Japan? If yes, what do I need?

Thank you!

You can apply for a Chinese visa in Japan, but keep in mind that you can only able to apply through a local travel agency. You can arrange for this in advance by contacting any of them if possible.

Thank you!
Do you know where I can find the names of registered travel agencies? Or is any agency able to do it?

Any agency is able to this, but they may charge expensive service fee. My suggestion is that you'd better apply in advance in UK.

I saw on another post that I have to have a Japanese alien registration to get a Chinese tourist visa, which is different from the information above...

Is this the case? As I am a UK national and will only be in Japan as a tourist, not resident?

Your entry record to Japan is enough.
