I suggest you to spend five to six days in HK and the other days in Macau.
1st day, you can spend a day in Disneyland and Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car.
2nd day, Ocean Park and the Peak are suggested.
3rd day, Tsim Sha Tsui for shopping, Star of Avenue, Victoria Harbour and Lan Kwai Fong are suggested.
4th day, Stanley Market and Causeway Bay are good to have a rest.
5th day, you can go to Wong Tai Sin Temple and Saigon to relax yourself. Then you can take a ferry to reach Macau. At night, you can visit Grand Lisboa.
6th day, Macau Tower, A Ma Temple, Ruins of Saint Paul's and Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro are suggested.
7th day, Senado Square, Museum of Macau, St. Domingo's Church and Monte Fort are worth seeing.
I think7 days are enough to cover most of the attractions in the two places.
For more detail information such as the ticket price, you can refer to https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/macau/ and https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/hongkong/ for searching.
Hope you can have nice trip.

You can buy the stardard Octopus Card is much better for you and you can buy it in the airport. You can see the MTR Information desk after you pass the Custom.
