About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

In Feb 2013 we will fly into Shanghai for 2 nights on way back to Aust. Do we need a visa?

We are Australians returning from Europe, flying with China East Airline.

Visa is not required for 72 hours if you transit via Shanghai.
