How much will it cost me for the visa in going to China

I'm planning to visit my fiance at Shanghai China on his birthday, my problem is Do I have to get Visa first before plane ticket? this will be my first time airplane travel so im really digging into information for me to be able to fly to China...My plan is to stay there for at least a week or 2 weeks...How much will I spend for it? thank you for your response :) Happy Holidays:)

No, you need to provide flight ticket when you apply for visa to China. Fee for application is 1,400 Peso for a signle entry under regular processing. If you are going to visit your fiance, invitation letter is required as well as his passport & visa & work permit.
