Hi, generally most attractions will not close during that time. Among them, the Forbidden City will be open to the public from 08:30 to 12:00 every day and on Feb. 11, it will open whole day. For Temple of Heaven and Great Wall, you can still travel and visit during that period.

The stores of Wangfujing, Xidan and Silk Market generally just close for 1-3 days. Even some of them just close during New Year's Eve. Therefore, no need to worry too much about that. Just go and travel.

At that time, the number of travelers will increase, thus certainly it will be a little crowded. Many tourists are from different areas of China and other countries.

In addition, the dining will not be a problem. Many restaurants will still be open then. Snow generally will happen, apart from a few days in early Feb. At that time, Long John, thick sweater and one or two thick jacket are also needed. But for convenience, no heavy winter coat is suggested. But snow boots can be taken along.
