Question

When will the Ice Festival start in 2013 and when will it end. How much do we pay to enter?  How far is this festival from SY downtown?Also if we want to ski, how much will it cost a day to ski full day including the ski lift, rental of ski suit and equipment? When will the ski season end in SY.If I take a airport shuttle bus from airport to downtown SY, how much will it cost and how long will it take?

Hi, the festival schedule of 2013 has not been published yet. According the past ones, it should start from the early Jan. and lasts for about one month. The entrance fare last year was CNY20 and you need pay for other items for visit or ski inside. The festival is held in the Ice and Snow World, which is about 17km from downtown. The ski fare including all the equipment in last year was around CNY150 for a whole day. If you go there during the Chinese Spring Festival, the ski fare is CNY200 for a whole day. Generally, the ski season ends around the late Feb.

Thanks Brian. If I go to SY in early March , is it possible to see the ice sculptures etc eventhough the festival has ended as the weather is still quite cold at that time. Another question, is there a hotel I can stay at the ski resort so it will be more convenient if I ski for 2 days. How much will a room cost me at the ski resort? Hope anyone can help me on this questions. Thanks.
