From Germany to Vietnam with a 15-hour transit in Shanghai Pudong airport.

I am Vietnamese who is living in Germany and hold a german visa. I have a flight ticket from Germany to Vietnam with a 15-hour transit in Shanghai Pudong airport. So if I want to go out of the airport for some hours to, do I have to apply for a visa there??
