get out of the airport without visa?

Hello! I'm going to take a plane from frankfurt (Germany) to Bangkok (Thailand) and I will have a stopover at Shanghai Airport during 14 hours for the inbound flight and during 8 hours for the outbound flight. I'm from France and I have a French Passport. Can I get out of the Airport without any visa, visit the city and come back to catch my flight? I will be there the 23st of December and the 06st of January.Thanks a lot!!

Yes, you can go out of the airport, but you need show your valid passport, visa of your destination country and connecting flight ticket.
