Visa to China for Taiwanese passport holder residing in Singapore

I work in Singapore and I'm visiting Beijing for tourism purpose. I hold a Taiwanese passport. Do I need to apply for visa or travel document? I heard some cities in China don't require travel document for tw passport.

Hi, you need to apply for the travel document from Chinese embassy in Singapore in person. Without this document probably you will be denied entry.
