Maximum length of stay on L-visa

What is the maximum length of stay you can apply for with the L? Could I apply for 120 days? What is the most I could extend it once in China?

Hi, if you visit China for the first time, generally you will be granted a single entry visa with 30 days as duration. You can extend it at most twice in China with financial support. So, 90 days for the maximum stay. But things may differ, e.g, if you travel by cruise, stopping at several ports in China, then you may request for a multiple entry visa with longer duration.
