day trip from kunming to stone forest & yuanyang rice terrace

On 01 Jan 2013(Tue), we plan to charter a van (8-10 seater) from KM to visit Stone Forest & Yuanyang Rice Terrace.1.  We will leave hotel around 7am or earlier, possible to visit Stone Forest & Yuanyang Rice Terrace for day trip?2.  If possible... we should visit Stone Forest then follow by Yuanyang Rice Terrace?3.  I understand that KM to Stone Forest takes about 1.5hrs  by car, how about Stone Forest to Yuanyang Rice Terrace.. takes how long?4.  Need to pay Entrance Fees for Yuanyang Rice Terrace?5.  Roughly how much is the van charges?6.  If we were overnight at Yuanyang Rice Terrace, any hotels to recommend?7.  From Yuanyang Rice Terrace to Km, takes how long?

I am afraid that one day is limited to visit the two places.  It takes about 5~6 hours by car from Stone Forest to Yuanyang. You need to pay entrance fee for the Rice Terrace. The ticket package is CNY120/person. Usually, it costs around CNY600-800 for a day to hire a van with 8-10 seats. As for hotels, you may find several hostel nearby the bus station.  When back to Kunming, it takes about 6-7 hours.
