HI i am a permanent rsident here in the USA but i still have my philippine passport

wanted to visit my friend in shanghai do i need visa to go there? and is there any multiple entry coz i wanted to see macau and hongkong too.

Yes, you need to apply for a China L visa in advance in US if you live there. If this is the first time for you to visit China, you are not able to get a multiple entry. It is possible to get a double entry visa anyway if you can provide detailed travel itinerary, ticket to Macao and HK.
