About:Hong Kong Airport Express

Octopus Card VS Airport Express Travel Pass

We are staying in Hong Kong for 2 days.
Our travel requirements are to get from airport to central on the first day and return the next.
Other travel includes bus trip to Stanley Market and Peak Tram.
(Probably a few taxi rides as well)
What cost will be deducted from the Octopus Card if we travel on the Airport Express?
Would it be cheaper just to buy a return trip and a normal Octopus Card for the other trips?

Thanks

If you just go to the Stanley Market and Peak Tram, I think the Octopus is much cheaper and you do just need to buy a return trip and normal Octopus card for the other trips. If you go to other places such as Disneyland, the Airport Express Travel Pass is necessary.

Thanks for your reply Emily.

I think we will be buying the normal Octopus Card and loading it with enough to pay for the airport return and the other trips we anticipate doing.
Something like this:

Octopus Card - normal card ($50 deposit) plus added value for trips - return trip to airport = $180 + return trip on Peak Tram = $65 + return trip on Bus 6 to Stanley Market = $16 + a bit extra just in case.
