Criminal record

Does a misdemeanor DUI conviction in the US disqualify you from getting a Work Visa (Z) to teach English in china?

Before the Z visa application, the company will handle a work permit for you. During this processing, you may asked to provide a disclosure of criminal record. But it depends on companies you work. This differs case by case. As to my knowledge, DUI is not a problem.
