Hotel stay without going through customs

Hi, we have a 16 hour stop over in Guangzhou airpot on our way to america. Ideally we would like to have a rest and shower and were looking at hiring a hotel. However we would prefer not to have to purchase a chinese visa. Is there a hotel in the airport itself within customs boundaries?
