About:Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen Ferry

Baggage claim when travelling from HKIA to Zhongshan

I am Arriving via Qantas 1745 and the ferry I need to catch leaves for ZS at 2000 from the Airport . How do I get my baggage whilst still inside the airport?Prior to going though immigration??
Last time I tried this I went though immigration , collected my bags and was told I was not allowed back in. I had to then catch the train to to the city ferry terminal to finally get to my destination.
How do I get my luggage??Thankyou

Hi, here is my suggestion:
arrival at T1, Level 5 - Purchase ferry ticket and present baggage tag receipt at Ferries Ticketing Counter at Transfer Area E2 (during the process, the immigration and customs checks are not required) - get the ferry ticket and baggage tag - at the ferry boarding entrance, scan the ticket and check your luggage - take the Automated Mover to Skypier to board the ferry
The above procedure can help you get both the ferry ticket and your luggage.
Good trip!

Hi Hilton,
Thankyou for your help, I think I am nearly there.Just need to know ,when I present my Baggage tag what then happens to my baggage. From what I understand ,it will be going around on the carousal outside of immigration until someone picks it up?Does someone pick it up for me and transfer it to the ferry I am catching.I just want to be sure my luggage ends up on the same ferry i am taking.

Hi, Andrew. Actually, as you get the baggage tag at the Ticketing Counter, the staff will help to carry your luggage to the ferry. And when you arrive at Zhongshan, you can get your luggage by showing the baggage tag. So don't worry!
Anyway, for further confirmation, you can ask the conductor when buying the ferry ticket.
Good trip!

Hi Hilton,
You have been most helpful. Maybe I am not looking at this the wrong way??
When I get on my plane in Australia, my luggage will be put on and destined for Hong Kong, Qantas does not have an afilliation with the ferry company. So, I land in Hong Kong and my luggage goes to the Carousal , which is outside immigration that I cannot get at unless I go into HK , once there I cannot get back in. Does someone go and get my Bags for Me??

It seems that there is no relation with the airline - Qantas. You need show your luggage tag to the staff at the ticket counter and they will help to get your luggage to the ferry you will catch.
At the same time, you may get another Baggage Tag for the ferry there. Upon arrival, you can get your luggage with this baggage tag.
I'm even confused, Andrew. You'd better ask for exact information at the ticket counter in case.

Hi Hilton,
I just received a call from my travel agent who has been trying on my behalf to find out these answers as well.
She contacted the Ferry Company who advised they would go and collect my bags for me and have them put on the ferry. I have to have the Ferry ticket and boarding pass from the plane with the luggage stubs. So it appears you were correct in all you thought.
Thankyou again for your help.
Cheers Andrew
