About:Shanghai Weather

Shanghai weather, activities 9th to 14th december.

Hi. I am visiting during december with parents in early 60s and a child. Are thermal wears/long johns necessary? I am concerned that it might get too warm when we are indoors but i do not wanna risk family enduring the cold. Will shirt sweater coat be sufficient or is thermal wear necessary? I read that it is unlikely to rain during this period but is it true that it might snow? Are there any holidays on there at that time? Would it be crowded at attractions such as bund and oriental pearl? Thank you!

Hi, at that time, the average temp will be about 6-8C and the lowest temp will fall to almost minus. So for senior and kid, maybe one thermal coat is necessay and the Long John is surely necessary then. Apart from that, you can take along the sweater an overcoat. The shirt may be not proper then.
According to the past weather records, it may rain, but just a little if possible. So you'd better pay attention to the weather forecast before departure. And maybe simple rainy gear will be necesary then. Generally, it will hardly snow at that time.
Don't worry! No national public holidays will fall then, except the weekend hoilidays. So it will not be that crowed then. After all, it is not the high travel season then.
