Hot Spring, JiuFen

Hello, I will be visiting Taipei next year Feb to Apr tentatively, any hot springs places to recommend? I prefer accessible and one that offers a variety of choices such as private/public. Also, is Jiufen still undergoing renovation? What are the choices and costs to travel to Jiufen from Ximending? Thankyou so much for the help in advance! :)))

New Bei Tou Hot Spring near Taipei is recommended for you.
Jiufen is reopen to the public, so you can go there.
From Ximenting to Jiufen, you need to take the high speed railway to reach. You need start from Taipei Railway Station to reac Dabu and then change to Yilan Line to reach Ruifang where you still need to take the buses to reach your destination. The train will cost you about 52 NT$ and the bus will take you about 21 NT$. All together, you need to pay about 73 NT$ and an hour and a half to reach.
