Fastest way to get from airport to town center

we will have a very limited time in Beijing ( not long enough to visist the hutons as we wished ) but too long to stay in the airport . We'll need to go to a hotel and would like to know the fastest way to get TO and FROM the town Center ( Tiananmen Square )
