About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Australian citizens who want to live/work in China

I would like to spend time living/working in China and I would like to know what my options are. Do you need to secure employment before applying for a work visa, or can you apply for the Visa and then seek employment with Chinese employers? Thank you

The correct order is applying for an offer from a China-based enterprise first, and then apply for the work visa, as you need the work permit & Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit from your employer to assist the visa application.
