Visa to China and Tibet

I plan to fly to India early next year and travel by land hopefully to Nepal,Tibet and China. I have an Irish passport. I will only have flight details to fly into India and home from China. Is it possible to get these visas sorted out before I go?.. Thank you

It is possible, but you need to apply for both a China tourist visa and a Tibet Enter Permit. The permit you need to go through a travel agency. Ticket to India and return ticket from China are ok, but you should better prepare a detailed travel itinerary.
