Hi, the best way is to take the direct long-distance bus at the local Bus Station. If you go to Guangzhou by train, no direct train runs for the journey and you have to transfer in Xiamen or Ganzhou.

OK How long does it take to go by bus to Guangzhou? Would it be quicker to get a bus to Xiamen and then fly from there?

The journey by bus takes about 9-10h in total. Correct, it can be quicker to take a bus to Xiamen first, in 1.5-2h, and then fly to Guangzhou in about 1h.
