Work visa application within China

Hi
If yiu have been travelling round china on a tourist L, received a job offer can u apply for a work visa still in china or shuould you return uk and apply?

It is possible for you to convert your L to a Z within China through a visa agency. Or, if you have work permit issued by relevant department and invitation letter, you can apply in person in HK through the Commissioner's Office of China Foreign ministry.
