best way to get from howard johnson hotel in jiujiang road to shanghai hongqiao railway station

I want to travel to from hongqiao railway station to beijing by G train (bullet train), How do I go from my hotel (howard johnson Plaza) in jiujiang road to hongqiao railway station, and how much time dose it take

It is not far from the hotel to People's Square Station, thus you can walk to the People's Square Station to take subway line 2 to Hongqiao Railway Station. It takes about 30-40 minutes.
