About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Can I apply for PRC Visa at PRC consulate in the Philippines?

I am from Seattle, WA (US citizen)and quite a distance from San Francisco, CA. I will travel to the Philippines and stay there for 2 months. While there I intend to visit the Great Wall and then back to the Philippines. Can I go to the PRC consulate in the Philippines to apply for it?

No, you should apply for a visa in US before leaving. A single entry China visa is valid for 3 months after issuance. So, it is ok to prepare it in advance. Applicants should be with residence permit or long term visa if apply in the third countries.
