Travelling by coach Xingang to Juyongguan is it a mountainous journey? Don't like high roads/drops!

Xingang, which port do you mean the one in Tianjin? If so, almost the whole way is the high way, not the mountainous journey. If you go on the mountainous roads, it will hard to drive and will cost you a lot of time.

Thanks very much for your response Jane. The port is Tianjin and it's a relief to me that most of the journey will be on the highway. We're then travelling from the Great Wall to the Forbidden City, so assume that will be along the highway also. Not there until next March, but booking our cruise excursions now, hence my question.
