About:Chinese Embassy in Pakistan

Apply for wife Z visa depend on mine?

Dear sir,
I have China workpermit since 2005. I am living in china for long time. I have recently got marriage.
I had applied for L visa 6 months for my wife and i got it. But now six months time period is finish. And in china they dont extend L. Now iwant to apply for my wife family Z visa depend on my work Z. Kindly guide me how deal with this matter.

Hi, as I know, you can extend her L visa at local PSB. Better have a try first. Spouse Z visa application requires an Invitation Letter issued by your company and proof of kinship, e.g. your marriage contract. Besides, the copies of your Z and residence permit are required.

Thanks for ur kind information. This is really helpfull.
I just need to confirm another thing. The invitation letter from our company is acceptable?
I mean the invitation letter from government authorised is not required.
Also if i apply for visa from islamabad or karachi its same. Bcz i heard that its easy from karachi consulate.

The letter should be better stampted by foreign affairs office. You can only submit application to the embassy or consulate which hold consular jurisdiction of the place where you reside.

Dear Sir
I have apply for my wife China 'Z' visa in china embassy Islamabad.
Sir they refused to give my wife 'Z' house wife visa. Bcz i didn't have the invitation letter from China government. Sir i had short time and could not leave my wife in Pakistan. So, i get the 6months 'L' visa for her again. And now i am in Keqiao, Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China.

Sir now my wife is pregnant. The problem is her 'L' visa finish on 14th June 2013. And her child delivery time is also about 16th June 2013. I am not sure in this case what should i do.
Bcz Shaoxing local government don't extend 'L' visa for Pakistan nationals.

My wife cannot travel in this case now. Kindly suggest us what should we do now. Bcz we cannot just go back to Pakistan. We just come to china on 14th DEC 2012.

Is there any option we could get her 'L' visa transfer to 'Z' visa. Or get more 6 months extention.

Dear Sir
I have check this matter with Pakistan Consulate General in Shanghai.
Sir they said they cannot do any thing about this matter.
They said we should contact with local immigration for this matter.
Plz guide us.
