letter from my Chinese friend

hi! my friend in shanghai send me an invitation letter , it will be my first time to travel in china, i was an overseas worker in macau and cant provide an ITR requirement bec. we OFW's are cover of tax exceptions.. and does bank statement still needed,? my visit in china my good friend will sponsor my accomodation food and tour...what are other requirements needed?

Hi, if you work in Macao, you can apply through the Commissioner's Office of the Ministry of China Foreign Affairs there, providing invitation letter from your friend and copies of her/his Chinese ID. ITR and bank statements are not required if he/she will sponsor your all travel and accommodation. Make sure this information is included in the letter.

but i want to make clear that i used to work overseas in macau and now im back here in philippines.. i cant provide a ITR OFW are tax exempted...And im not currently employed now, but i have other source of income, my friend sent the invitation letter that she will provide everything during my stay, including food and tour expenses... what are the requirements needed since i cant provide ITR, is bank statement still needed does it means that i must have atleast 100thousand pesos available in my account? or i have made transactions of 100thousand in six months banking? thank you for reply in advanced :)

Hi, I have to say that it depends on the officers because they have the final say to it. But if this is your first time to visit China, you should at least prepare a 6 months bank statement and explain or show proof that you are working overseas.
